| HEAVENLY RIDGE
This 5 acre property
has sweeping views of the bay and an adjacent regional park. Its oak studded
hills are mainly left 'natural', with seasonal mowing of the grasses for
fire prevention. Wildlife is part of the charm of the property, but also a challenge to garden
development. Deer, gophers, turkeys, and even occasional goats (escaped
individuals from fire abatement herds) roam the property.
Beds immediately
surrounding the home were chosen for development. We selected as many
California natives as possible, and carefully avoided invasive plants. The
owners love color, so long blooming California natives such as Verbena de la
Mina, Penstemon Margarita BOP and California Poppies are featured.
