In a neighborhood sprinkled with
naturally occurring mighty boulders, we decided to add a naturalistic placement
of Sonoma Moss Rock boulders. The new boulders retain a front slope, and add an
interesting counterpoint to the plantings.
California native and southern
European plants are equally at home in this mild North Berkeley climate. Native
succulents and coastal perennials happily cling to the slopes. One of the
owners, a quilter, requested lots of color.
